Hi Gaielle, nice and honest post. I agree with you that the methods taught for traffic are the same tactics everyone else is using. With that said, I still encourage everyone to use it and implement. You never know you the readers will relate to, you or the others? Keep plugging.
As far as free goes. That is a whole other discussion but I will try to make it short. You can get free traffic but sometimes this method can be painfully slow, as is explained in the article above.
Sometimes paying for it can be the smarter move. And believe it or not, using paid advertising can result in lesser costs or even, get this, free traffic. This would be the result of creating a community online or a sizable fan following.
Nothing is impossible. But the key to all this is, and you have heard this before, the gold is in the follow up. Keep following up.

Hi Gaielle

Read your blog and I certainly agree. There are certainly some scams out there in the internet world. My husband changed providers about a year ago and he experienced a similar problem. Fortunately I was not working at this at the time. I remember we were also given a dial up modem and you wondered how you had ever coped with it.

As you see my name is Sue McDonald and I live in Australia. I am at present doing the Newbie course with Mark Terrell who originally did the course with Alex a few years ago.

It’s interesting learning and like everyone that starts these types of courses we all want to make money and have more time to ourselves. I hope you are making a great living and if you have time over the next few weeks and you could take a look at my blog and leave a comment, I would certainly appreciate it.

Hey Gaielle,

I learned to have a backup ISP just in case when going through a nightmare with Verizon last year. If you have neighbors, getting a cheap wireless network card (with the USB port) is great for emergencies. If my cable modem goes out for hours I just hop on the WIFI adapter and can at least do the basics.

I am a ‘newbie’ student of Alex Jeffreys! Great info for newbies, personally I find point 1 - Stay positive and don’t give up, very pertinent. I also find that setting aside focused time for specific tasks for useful.
