Filezilla is a free FTP program that enables you to transfer files from your own computer to your hosting account/server. (FTP is short for "File Transfer Protocol".) This means that you can upload new Wordpress themes and plug-ins which you can then enable in your Wordpress administration area.

Another purpose of Filezilla is to upload ebooks, videos etc. which can then be made available for your subscribers to download. This is the best way to start building your list. You set up an aWeber "opt-in" box offering a free download. The reader will need to insert their name and email address, (which is then stored in your aWeber account) and will be sent to a "thankyou page" that you would have pre-written in aWeber - just follow the instructions in the aWeber instructional videos.

The reader will be automatically sent an email to confirm that they do want to receive this information and when they click to confirm, they will be sent info about how to collect their download (again pre-written by you in aWeber).

If you haven’t already done so, I recommend that you download the ebook "Listbuilding with Alex", (from the box in the right column of this site), to give away on your blog. Alternatively you can find more great ebooks to give away at http://butterflyreports.com which you can rebrand with your own affiliate links. This can generate additional streams of income for you, down the line.

When you have downloaded the selected ebook to your computer you’ll need to upload it to your hosting account (server). Filezilla is the simplest way to do that. I found a great video that will step you through this process with ease.

So, by now you should have a hosted Wordpress blog with your selected theme and plugins with an aWeber opt-in box (to build your list) containing a free gift for your subscribers.
